SUNDAY SERVICE
This Sunday 20th July, we resume regular adult and children services in ICC. In the adult service, Ravi will be sharing a topical sermon entitled, “Who Is The Antichrist?”
Over the years, thousands of predictions has been made as to who the antichirst is. This ranges from Nero to Popes, Presidents to the richest people on earth. While one may speculate endlessly with various conspiracy theories, Scriptures have very specific description of this individual.
Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 says, “Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.”
The bible refers to this person as the man of lawlessness. Lawlessness or transgression is literally having no regards for the principles of God. According to John, such persons have already existed as written in 1 John 2:18, “Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.”
Who is the antichirst? If they have already appeared, what are the signs of it? Is there such a thing as the spirit of the antichrist? How can a follower of the True Christ recognise it? We want to tackle these and many more questions on Sunday with a short sermon followed by Q&A. Come prepared with your questions.
ICC, the place to get in touch with God, others, and your divine destiny! See you soon. God bless.
