SUNDAY SERVICE

This Sunday, July 13th, we resume regular adult and children’s services at ICC. In the adult service, Ravi will be sharing an interesting topical sermon entitled, “Alien Abduction.”

The topic of “Flying Saucer”, “UFO”, and now “UAP” is not unfamiliar to most of us. This begs the questions such as, “Is there life beyond Earth?” and, “Where did these crafts come from?” let alone, “Who are these ‘outer space’ visitors”? Both sceptics and proponents of “extra territorial activities” have argued about these, and many more controversies/conspiracies with their conclusions. These discussions have reached the highest levels of governing authorities, who in recent times have released classified images of crafts unknown to human civilisation.

Meanwhile, what does the bible have to say about all these other-dimensional discussions? What about individuals who have passed lie detectors to confirm they have been abducted by alien creatures and experimented on? Should we dismiss their claims, or is there a biblical explanation for it?

The bible is full of examples concerning crafts and creatures that descend from another dimension. The theological terms used in these differ from everyday language, albeit.

There are three heavens (dimensions) Paul speaks of, and both the Old and New Testaments have profound descriptions of creatures and crafts not seen on earth. We want to take time this Sunday to talk about heavenly powers (good and bad), “alien abductions” found in Scriptures, and a future mass disappearance of believers from Earth. There will be ample time for Q&A.
