ICC ADULT AND CHILDREN SERVICE

This Sunday 25th January, we resume regular services for children and adults in ICC. This time, Ravi will be sharing a message entitled, “Firstfruits”.

Each year in ICC, we take time to offer and dedicate a portion of our first income to the Lord. This tradition comes from among the 7 biblical principles based in Scriptures. This is not, and has never been compulsory. It is an opportunity for those who understand biblical economy to place their trust in God’s providence in a tangible way.

There are multiple Scriptures that discuss firstfruits. To quote a few: Proverbs 3:9-10, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.” Exodus 13:2, ” The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether human or animal.” Numbers 15:21, “Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the Lord from the first of your ground meal.” Romans 8:23, “And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.”

We will take a deeper dive into why God regards the fristfruit so vital that we are to recognise it for generations to come. Remember, He gave us His firstborn and demands our first, in recognition of it. This observance of worship, honour, respect and adoration is meant to last throughout the generations. It is not an “Old Testament” or “New Testament” argument. It is an act of spiritual worship for the wise and discerning. Come and find out more this Sunday along with time for Q&A as usual.

ICC is the place to get in touch with God, others, and your divine destiny!
